Formatting a SDHC memory card?
ByI’ve recently purchased a new computer and would like to transfer all of the music from my laptop to the computer. The 16GB SDHC card from my Panasonic Lumix is the biggest form of portable storage device I have, and it would easily hold all of my music at one time (around 11GB). Will formatting the card erase any files that may affect the camera’s system or firmware, or are all of the important files stored on the camera’s internal memory? (I’ve already backed up all of the pictures and videos on the card)

If you format the card in your computer to accept the music files you will have to format it again when you put it back in the camera. No big deal so long as youve transfered the image files and music files to the computer before you do the next format.
