Someone developed a website, can a different person design it now, if the are not in contact with the develope?
Byi hired someone to develop a website some time ago, and they did it all but when it came to the designing they disappeared for some reason. I need to hire someone to work on the website design now, as it is hideous to say the least…can I do that, if the still does not answer emails or phone calls? I need all this finished before a deadline, so what can i do about it? TIA

If you have the files, you own them after paying for a "designer". Before you do anything, make sure you still have control over your log in to your web site account. If you do, CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD IMMEDIATELY!!!! I certainly hope you paid for the hosting site as you will be asked for proof by Support should you have to call them to recover your site and account.
You’ve been abandoned and your contract is probably no longer viable.

I’m sure if you’ve done all you can to contact the person and waited a reasonable time length you can hire someone else to finish the job.
