If you are willing to invest your time in place of money, I suggest that you take a look at a web host that will teach you the skills to build a website right. You can take a look at http://www.customized-by-you.com
They will help you to design a site that will get traffic. They will also assist you in centering your business around your interests/hobbies. I hope this helps.
BEST WISHES!

You can spend thousands and thousands of dollars paying someone to set up your website. don’t be fooled! it doesn’t matter how good your site is if nobody sees it!
I recommend StoresOnlinePro This company not only will create your website for you (or teach you if you want to be independant), it will also teach you and help you to drive unique visitors to your site to ultimately improve your bottom line!

It really depends on the type of website you want. If its purpose is to be "an online presence" then yes….you can probably use one of the previously mentioned services and learn how to customize it yourself. However, if you want a fairly elaborate site where you have user accounts\passwords or anything that starts getting complex you should consider investing the money to have someone build it for you. I say that because it involves alot of time and patience….not to mention a huge learning curve depending on the language you choose to write code in. Just becareful whom you choose as their are alot of lazy web developers out there working out of their homes.
